HMANA continues its monthly virtual Lunch & Learn series with a much-anticipated topic: raptors and climate change, including steps the dedicated HMANA climate committee is taking on the subject. Celebrate Earth Day with us for this special session! We are thrilled to welcome Will Weber who will discuss questions such as how are raptors doing in the current state of global warming and what are the prospects for long term adaptation to an inexorably warming world.
Will Weber, HMANA board member, was a Peace Corps Volunteer, teacher and trainer in Nepal from 1971-75 and received a Ph.D. in natural resources from the University of Michigan. He founded and directed JOURNEYS International—an adventure, nature and eco-travel company—and has led more than 100 tours to Asia, Africa, Latin America, and the Pacific. He helped establish the Holiday Beach Migration Observatory and was instrumental in the creation of Hawkcount and the Raptor Population Index. His current interests include ecological restoration and understanding how birds cope with climate change.
